Firefighters in Derbyshire are warning residents to keep doors and windows closed if they see or smell smoke after dealing with a house fire in Normanton.
Crews from Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service were sent to Grange Avenue at about 05:05 BST on Monday.
A fire service spokesman said the fire "started in a bedroom spread to the roof space", adding crews "are currently removing roof tiles and checking for hotspots".
Derbyshire Police said surrounding roads including Sunny Hill, Beaumont Walk, Coleridge Street and Kitchener Avenue were closed at their junctions with Grange Avenue due to the fire.
Elsewhere in the county, Sutton Lane in Hilton was briefly closed on Monday morning due to another fire. No further details have yet been released.
