Five people have been arrested after reports of a fight in which "weapons were involved".
South Wales Police said they attended the scene on Cardiff Road, Taff's Well, at about 11:50 BST on Sunday.
Specialist firearms officers helped as the five people were arrested on suspicion of affray, and inquiries are ongoing.
Police said no injuries had been reported and there was no wider risk to the public.
