Apple is launching iPhone 18 Pro series and its first foldable iPhone this year which means the iPhone 18 launch has been pushed all the way down to early 2027. Apple wants all the attention on the new flagship models that will be costlier than before and its ultra-premium foldable.
So that leaves the iPhone 18 model outside of the picture, at least for this year, and the company has bigger plans for the base iPhone which got considerable upgrades with the iPhone 17 last year.
We have heard these rumours before but with the iPhone 18 Pro launch just a few weeks out, those noises have only gotten louder and that means bad news for a lot of buyers waiting to get a new iPhone this year.
