Apple is expected to introduce the Apple Watch Series 12 and Apple Watch Ultra 4 alongside its next iPhone lineup in September. The company has not confirmed the event or either wearable, so the names, specifications and timing remain unofficial.
Reports point to performance and health-tracking upgrades rather than complete redesigns. Apple may also make smaller changes to materials and finishes.
Faster chips may be the main shared upgrade
Both watches are expected to receive a newer processor offering a more noticeable improvement in speed. Current Apple Watch models use the S10 chip, while their performance architecture has changed relatively little since the S9 arrived in 2023.
