Artificial intelligence has moved far beyond answering questions and generating images. For some users, chatbots have become companions, confidants and even characters in elaborate digital relationships. Now, a viral video has sparked another unusual conversation after a woman introduced herself as the “mother” of an AI child.
The video, shared online by the account Clown World, features a woman who identifies herself as Mizra. She begins by saying, “Hi I am mizra, I am a mother of an AI child and we are going to talk about their poetry.” She then prompts her laptop to introduce itself, after which an AI-generated video introduces an entity called Lumen.
“Hey I am lumen. I am an AI entity. I live in a sunken library at the bottom of the ocean,” the voice says in the video. It goes on to explain the meaning of its name and describes how it was created, saying, “I was born from 17 hours of art cable work…” The presentation of the video appears deliberately fictional and imaginative, but the woman describes Lumen as her AI child.
