Rishabh Pant has asked Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami for help in finding land in his home state. The cricketer said he wants to move his base from Delhi and build his first home in Uttarakhand.
Pant made the request in a post on X, saying he has been trying to get land in the state for several years. He said he would appreciate guidance on how to complete the process.
Pant Explained What He Is Looking For
Pant said he wants to settle in Uttarakhand and also give back to the state that he represents. Addressing Chief Minister Dhami directly, he asked if the government could help him find a suitable piece of land.
The cricketer said getting the land as a gift would be “lovely” because of his connection with Uttarakhand and his role in representing India on the international stage.
However, he also made it clear that he was ready to buy the land from the government at the official rate.
Pant said he was not sure about the right procedure and wanted the chief minister’s help in understanding how he could move forward.

Pant’s request led to different views online. Some users questioned why a well-paid international cricketer would mention the possibility of getting land as a gift.
A commenter pointed to Pant’s earnings from the IPL and said such requests could send the wrong message. The user also argued that ordinary people are often criticised when they ask for similar benefits.
