But for some individuals, the high cost of living, long commutes, and relentless pace have become the driving force behind leaving the city. One financial consultant, who spent most of his life in the city, shared why he chose to move to Bhopal over Mumbai after marriage.
In a post shared on X, Kalyan Kumar Biswal listed 14 reasons for his decision, beginning with housing expenses. He highlighted that a fully furnished 2BHK with two air conditioners, a fridge, a sofa, and a bed in a top Bhopal society costs around Rs 17,000 a month, compared to Mumbai.
