Gaya, Varanasi, Prayagraj and Ayodhya are among India’s most revered pilgrimage destinations, but visiting them in a single trip often requires multiple train or flight bookings, hotel reservations and careful planning. To simplify the journey, Indian Railways’ IRCTC has now launched the Ganga Gaya Sangam Yatra, a curated eight-day pilgrimage package.
This seven-night, eight-day spiritual journey starts from Hyderabad on September 2 and wraps up on September 9, taking travellers through some of North India’s most revered religious destinations in one seamless package combining religious sites with organised transport, accommodation and guided services.
Which Destinations are Covered in the Ganga Gaya Sangam Yatra?
The itinerary includes visits to six major spiritual destinations across Uttar Pradesh and Bihar:

Naimisharanya
Travellers will fly from Hyderabad to Gaya via Kolkata at the start of the journey, while the return flight will be from Lucknow to Hyderabad at the end of the tour.
Ganga Gaya Sangam Yatra: What Does the 8-day Itinerary Include?
According to IRCTC, the package has been designed as a hassle-free pilgrimage experience.
On Day 1, after arriving in Gaya, travellers check into their hotel and visit the Maha Bodhi Temple along with nearby Buddhist temples.
Day 2 includes visits to Vishnu Padam Temple and Mangala Gowri Shaktipeeth before the group travels to Varanasi.
Day 3 is dedicated to exploring Varanasi, with stops at Kashi Vishwanath Temple, other local temples and the famous ghats. Travellers also have the option to attend the Ganga Aarti or explore independently.
On Day 4, the group visits Sarnath and returns to Varanasi.
Day 5 takes the travellers to Prayagraj for visits to Alopi Devi Temple and Triveni Sangam, followed by the journey to Ayodhya.
Day 6 features a visit to the Ayodhya Temple before proceeding to Lucknow.
On Day 7, the group spends time at Naimisharanya and returns to Lucknow.
The final day includes a visit to Bara Imambara in Lucknow before the return flight to Hyderabad.
Ganga Gaya Sangam Yatra: Cost
The package is priced according to occupancy. Single occupancy costs Rs 54,800 per person. Double occupancy is available at Rs 41,000 per person, while triple occupancy is priced at Rs 38,750 per person.
Separate rates apply for children: those aged 5 to 11 years with a bed pay Rs 34,050, and without a bed the cost is Rs 29,950. For children aged 2 to 4 years without a bed, the rate is Rs 22,250.
