Rumours are getting stronger that Cristiano Ronaldo is tying the knot with his long-term partner Georgina Rodríguez this weekend. It stems from the wedding invite and a prenuptial agreement that are doing the rounds online; however, there is no confirmation from the Portuguese footballer’s team on whether the wedding is happening. But either way, his fans are surely excited.
Adding further fuel to the fire is the fact that Cristiano Ronaldo was spotted on vacation wearing a huge diamond ring on his wedding finger. He also had earlier stated in 2025 that the couple’s wedding is certain to take place after the 2026 FIFA World Cup. While he was hoping to retire from the game with a win at the world’s biggest football championship, his dreams were dashed when he was his team, Portugal, was knocked out of the Round of 16.
During a conversation on Piers Morgan’s podcast, Ronaldo said, “I haven’t set a date yet… I’m planning for it to be after the World Cup — with the trophy.”

Currently, Ronaldo and his lady love, along with their five children, are enjoying a family vacation in Mallorca. Georgina Rodríguez has even shared a photo dump from their vacation to her Instagram, which shows the footballer having a fun time in the middle of the ocean.
The couple are parents to six children. They have three biological children together, Alana Martina, Bella Esmeralda and her twin brother, Ángel, who died during childbirth. Georgina also helps raise Ronaldo’s three other children, Cristiano Jr. and twins Eva and Mateo, who were born prior to her relationship with the footballer.

They began dating in 2016 after Ronaldo saw Georgina working in a Gucci store. He began courting her, andd they soon got together. While the couple have been together for nine years, the 41-year-old footballer only popped the question last year in 2025. It was not a big surprise proposal but something quieter and more intimate.
During an interview, Ronaldo said that he wanted to pop the question over a private dinner but the couple’s daughter kind of forced his hand when they were in bed together. He said, “It was like 1 a.m., and my daughters were in bed sleeping. One of my friends gave me the ring to offer to Gio, and as I was giving her the ring, my two daughters came in and said, ‘Daddy, you’re going to give the ring to mom and you’re going to ask her to get married.’ And I said, ‘Wow, this was the right moment.’”
He went on to share how Georgina didn’t pay much attention to the ring and was more interested in hearing his thoughts. “She didn’t care about the ring,” Ronaldo admitted, adding, “She asked me if I was speaking the truth. She said, ‘Are you honest?’ And I said, ‘Yes, I’m honest. I want you. I want to marry you.’ But she didn’t believe me at first.”

Ronaldo went on to add, “I always say that good things come in at the right time. I said, ‘I’m going to propose to her because I think it’s the right moment.’ Not only because she’s the mother of my kids, but she’s the person I love. She’s the love of my life.”
Sharing how he knew that Georgina was the one for him, before he even asked her to marry him, Ronaldo explains, “Gio is unique. She takes care of me, which is very important. She takes care of the family, of the house, which takes a lot of work. If you want to be the opposite, I will not deal with that; men cannot deal with that, honest.”
“She’s the person who understands me and takes care of me and my family,” continued Ronaldo, adding, “This is what I’m looking for.”
