Tara Sutaria could barely contain her emotions after watching the Toxic trailer on the big screen. The actress joined Yash, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, Rukmini Vasanth and the rest of the team at the film’s trailer launch in Bengaluru on Saturday, where she opened up about what being part of Geetu Mohandas’ ambitious film means to her.
Tara described the experience as a dream that had come true for not just her, but the entire team. Calling Toxic an “incredible story”, she said she felt overwhelmed by what they had collectively created.
Tara Sutaria Gets Emotional After Watching Toxic Trailer
Addressing the audience at the event, Tara admitted that watching the finished trailer had left her struggling to put her feelings into words.
“Hello, everyone, and good evening. It’s such a pleasure to be here in Bengaluru. I’m just so overwhelmed at the moment after watching the trailer,” she said.

The actress then found an unusual way to explain what the film represented to her. When Disney came up during the interaction, Tara recalled a line from an old fairy tale that she felt perfectly captured her journey with Toxic.
“There’s actually, and because you brought Disney up, a very popular phrase from an old Disney fairy tale, which I think goes something like, ‘A dream is a wish your heart makes,’ and it feels so fitting to Toxic and to this fairytale that we’ve all created,” Tara said.
For the actress, the comparison was not simply about the scale or visual world of the film. She said Toxic represented something that the cast and crew had collectively hoped to create.
“I think it’s a dream and a wish that all of us have had, I think collectively as a team, to be a part of something and a fairytale of sorts that is really outstanding, exceptional, and something very, very special to all of us in many different ways,” she added.
Tara Says She Feels ‘Blessed’ To Be Part Of Toxic
Tara kept her speech brief but made it clear that Toxic holds considerable personal significance for her.
“I think I’m just, like I said, overwhelmed, humbled, and blessed to be with all of you and to be a part of this incredible story,” she said before thanking everyone present at the event.
Her comments came as the cast assembled in Bengaluru for the unveiling of the film’s much-awaited trailer. While Tara did not reveal details about her character or how she fits into the story, her appearance in the trailer has already offered audiences a first glimpse at her role.
Yash Says Tara’s Role Was Expanded
At the same event, Yash also spoke about what Tara brought to the film. The actor revealed that her presence impressed the team enough for them to expand her character beyond what had initially been written.
“We, in fact, increased your scenes more than what was written because of your fabulous presence and your effort,” Yash told Tara.
He particularly credited the actress with bringing a distinct quality to the film. “Your elegance has added a lot of elegance to our film. Thank you so much for being part of our film,” he said.
Directed by Geetu Mohandas, Toxic brings together Yash with an ensemble cast that includes Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, Rukmini Vasanth and Tara Sutaria. The project has been shot in Kannada and English, with Yash describing it at the trailer launch as an “Indian film” created with the ambition of reaching audiences beyond linguistic and regional boundaries.
