Sunny Deol has opened up about playing Hanuman in Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana, starring Ranbir Kapoor as Rama. Sunny reflected on taking the mantle forward after Dara Singh played the epic character in Ramanand Sagar’s Ramayan. He said that while he hasn’t watched the final cut of Nitesh Tiwari’s film, he is hopeful that fans will be happy.
In a conversation with Shubhankar Mishra, Sunny Deol was asked whether Ramayana will indeed “change Indian cinema”. The actor said, “Dekhiye, kisi cheez ke baare main kuch predict karna, main unme se nahi hoon. But definitely, because maine poori film toh dekhi nahi hai, sirf voh trailer dekha hai… the special effects are of great calibre.”
