Rashmika Mandanna has reportedly suffered a serious hip injury while shooting for her upcoming films Ranabaali and Mysaa. The actress is said to have sustained a complete tendon detachment while filming a high-energy dance sequence, following which she was rushed to a hospital. According to reports, doctors have advised six weeks of complete rest along with rehabilitation, a setback that could temporarily impact the shooting schedules of both films.
News18 Telugu reports that Rashmika Mandanna met with an accident when she fell down while performing thr dance steps. The shoot was immediately halted and the crew members rushed her to a nearby hospital.
According to reports, doctors described Rashmika’s injury as a rare and serious one, explaining that complete tendon detachment in the hip is typically seen in athletes involved in high-intensity training. The physically demanding action scenes and energetic dance routines she has been filming for Ranabaali and Mysaa are believed to have played a role in the injury.
According to the report, the doctors put Rashmika on six weeks of bed rest and have asked her to stay away from work. She has also been advised a structured rehabilitation programme to help restore strength and mobility.
Notably, there is no official confirmation yet from the actress or her team.
On the work front, Rashmika Mandanna is working on two big budget pan India projects at the moment. She has been shooting for Mysaa, an upcoming Tamil film directed by Rawindra Pulle.
In Mysaa, Rashmika essays the role of a fierce Gond woman. The teaser, unveiled in December 2025, introduced audiences to Rashmika’s gritty new avatar. Produced by Unformula Films, the project features cinematography by Shreyaas P. Krishna and music by Jakes Bejoy. The actress had also recently completed filming an underwater stunt sequence for the movie.
The other project that Rashmika is working on is Ranabaali. The film will see her reuniting with Vijay Deverakonda. This will be their third collaboration together. Directed by Rahul Sankrityan, Ranabaali is a Telugu period drama set during the British Raj, weaving a fictional narrative inspired by lesser-known chapters of Indian history.
