Kiara Advani believes Toxic could prove to be a turning point in her career. Speaking at the film’s trailer launch in Bengaluru, the actress opened up about playing Nadia and credited director Geetu Mohandas and co-star Yash for trusting her with a character that demanded a leap she had not initially imagined herself taking.
Kiara, who had been waiting to watch the trailer, said seeing glimpses of the finished film only strengthened her feelings about the experience. Without revealing much about Nadia, she made it clear that the role has changed what she expects from herself as an actor.
Kiara Advani Says Yash And Geetu Mohandas ‘Manifested’ Her As Nadia
Asked what attracted her to the character, Kiara said the decision began with the faith Yash and Geetu placed in her.
“I truly believe that Geetu and Yash manifested for me to be Nadia in this film,” Kiara said. “They saw it in me and believed I was capable of this much before I knew that fearless leap that I was ready to take as an actor.”

The actress said watching portions of Toxic now makes her particularly grateful for that trust. She thanked both Geetu and Yash for offering her a character she expects to remember as an important milestone in her filmography.
“For giving me a part that I know will be very, very special for me as an actor in my journey. I think there will be a Kiara before Toxic and a Kiara after Toxic,” she said.
Kiara stopped short of explaining exactly what makes Nadia different from the characters she has played before. When asked to describe her, she chose to keep the details under wraps.
“I cannot wait for the world to experience Nadia. I don’t think I can describe her in one word. So I’m just going to let you go and experience it,” she said.
‘You Have Spoiled Me And Every Actor In This Room’
Kiara also spoke about how the experience of making Toxic has changed her expectations from future projects. Addressing Yash and Geetu, she joked that the two had “spoiled” the actors by giving them an experience they would now want to find again.
“You have spoiled me and every actor in this room. On this film, I’m sure you all will agree with me,” she said.
“What we’ve tasted is now going to make us want so much more, and we’re just going to be so much greedier with every film we step into,” Kiara added.
Her comments came as the cast gathered to speak about their individual experiences on the project. Kiara also used the occasion to acknowledge her fellow actors, saying it had been a joy both to work alongside them and watch their performances on screen.
Kiara Credits Toxic’s Technical Crew
The actress reserved part of her address for the technicians who worked behind the scenes. She said the standards set during production went beyond simply getting the job done, with the teams working towards something more ambitious.
“Excellence was just the beginning. Like, just the beginning for the baseline,” she said.
Kiara added that she was eager for audiences to finally see what the cast and crew had created together. “I can’t wait for you all to witness the magic that everyone has put into this film,” she said.
